What triggered your desire to become a musician?

When I was in elementary school, I saw Pete Fountain playing clarinet in a Mardi Gras parade on TV. I wanted to wear purple glittery clothes and play just like him! Learning clarinet was not nearly as easy as I had imagined and turned out to be a very difficult challenge. I have always enjoyed that challenge!
